In 2023 all students will receive an FFDC branded uniform item as part of their all-inclusive package. These are items to be worn to class along with the following guidelines for other items of clothing and shoes.
Specific uniform items are required for each class.
Long hair must be tied back from the face for all classes.
Jewellery that may catch (necklaces, bracelets and dangly earrings) should not be worn in class.
FFDC have a range of uniform items for sale. To order these please visit the display of samples in the foyer of the dance studio (unit 13), fill in the order form, put form and payment (either cash or direct deposit details) in the fee box and you will receive the order at next week’s class.
FANCI FOOTWORK DANCE & CHEER operate a clothing pool service free of charge so students and parents can buy and sell second hand exam uniforms, dance shoes and cheer shoes. If you have any second hand shoes or exam uniforms you would like to sell through the studios clothing pool please ensure that they are clearly labelled with your name, phone number and how much you wish to sell them for.
JAZZ CLASS
All female students are required to wear tights / dance pants / dance shorts, leotard and black leather jazz shoes. Where possible dancewear should be either FFDC branded items or in studio colours.
Male students are required to wear trackpants / dancepants / shorts, t-shirt and black jazz shoes.
All female students in ELITE will need camel chorus shoes for performances.
HIP HOP CLASS
Students to wear dance pants/shorts and FFDC t-shirt. Where possible dancewear should be either FFDC branded items or in studio colours.
Students need all-black converse high tops (or similar) for classes and performances.
TAP CLASS
All female students must wear tights/bike shorts, leotard and camel coloured, buckle-up tap shoes. Where possible dancewear should be either FFDC branded items or in studio colours.
Male students are required to wear trackpants/dancepants, t-shirt and black lace up tap shoes.
Please check base of tap shoes for protruding screws prior to each class.
BALLET CLASSES
All students are required to wear tights/ballet stockings, leotard and pink leather ballet shoes.
STARS dancers will need pink elastic on shoes
CENTRE STAGE & ELITE ballet must have ribbons.
ELITE students will be asked to get Pointe shoes when physically ready and have passed physio pre-pointe assessment.
CHEERLEADING, TUMBLING & ACROBATIC CLASSES
Students are to wear fitted clothing. Where possible dancewear should be either FFDC branded items or in studio colours.
Novice and level 1 cheerleaders will need white cheershoes (no high-tops)
Level 2, 3 & 4 cheerleaders wear black midnight beast nfinity mid-top shoes.
